Manage Shiprocket Shipping and COD from Pi-Square
Create Shiprocket shipments from Pi-Square orders, reduce duplicate data entry, track deliveries, and collect the correct COD balance.
Published July 20, 2026
Shipping often becomes the point where a straightforward online order turns into repetitive operational work. The seller copies a customer address, re-enters every item, checks package measurements, selects the payment method, and makes sure the courier collects the right cash-on-delivery amount.
Pi-Square’s Shiprocket integration connects order management and shipping so that this hand-off starts from the order you already have.
Move an order to shipping without entering it again
Once Shiprocket is connected, an eligible delivery order can be sent from Pi-Square using Create Shipment. Pi-Square passes the customer, delivery address, item, package, and payment information to Shiprocket and saves the resulting shipment identifiers against the order.
This reduces duplicate entry and keeps the relationship between the customer order and its shipment visible to the team. Staff can return to the Pi-Square order and use Track to open its tracking link or view the latest available shipment status.
Courier selection, AWB assignment, labels, and pickup scheduling continue in Shiprocket, giving the seller control over the operational choices available in their Shiprocket account.
COD should mean the amount that is actually due
Cash on delivery is not always an all-or-nothing payment method. A business may collect an advance to confirm a custom order and ask the courier to collect only the balance.
The integration handles all three cases:
- a fully paid order is sent as prepaid
- an unpaid order is sent as COD for the full pending amount
- a partially paid order is sent as COD for only the remaining balance
Suppose a customer places a ₹1,000 order and pays ₹300 in advance. When the shipment is created, the amount to collect is ₹700—not the original ₹1,000. This makes accurate payment recording before shipment creation especially important.
The Shiprocket or courier charges for COD, shipping, remittance, and related services continue to follow the seller’s own Shiprocket arrangement.
Package information starts in the catalog
Reliable shipment creation depends on reliable item data. Each physical item needs its height, length, breadth, and weight in Pi-Square. When an order contains multiple quantities or products, Pi-Square derives a combined package from those values for the Shiprocket request.
Adding measurements while setting up the catalog is much easier than looking for a weighing scale and measuring tape every time an order is ready to leave.
Keep shipment actions controlled
Not every order should be shipped. Pi-Square offers shipment creation only for eligible delivery orders—for example, not for pickup, cancelled, already dispatched, already delivered, or advance-payment-pending orders. It also prevents a second shipment from being created for an order that already has shipment or tracking information.
Eligible orders can be processed individually or in bulk from the Orders screen.
A cleaner fulfilment workflow for growing sellers
For a seller shipping a few orders, manual copying may seem manageable. As volume grows, the same steps consume time and introduce address, package, and collection-amount mistakes.
Connecting Pi-Square with Shiprocket creates a clearer workflow:
- the customer order and payment status are managed in Pi-Square
- the eligible order is sent to Shiprocket
- courier and pickup operations are completed in Shiprocket
- the team returns to the Pi-Square order when it needs shipment tracking
The result is less repeated data entry and a more dependable hand-off from sale to delivery—especially for businesses that combine advance payments with COD.
